I dont know if anyone reads this stuff but what the hell. I'll post my take on the movie 3:10 to Yuma.
Geoff, Rachel, Leslie, Jim (a few others) and I caught the 9:55 show at the Alamo Drafthouse. Leslie and her friends saved us great seats.
First of all, I had never even heard of this movie, so I was excited to see it. I love watching movies I know absolutely nothing about. After getting about 1/4 of the way through, we all noticed that a group of 3 or 4 people sitting in front of us thought that the weirdest parts were REALLY funny which sparked the most annoying laughs. Jim had a funny comment after the movie was over. Mocking the people in front, he said..."Boy, that was almost as funny as Schindler's List". Funny stuff...
Anyway, I thought it was fun and glad I went, but the movie sucked. I fell asleep a few times (which I normally don't do) and felt distracted @ parts due to the the obnoxiously loud laughs coming from the group in front. Russel Crow and Christian Bale are pretty cool actors, but I think their characters were underdeveloped, the plot was thin, and far too unrealistic. I'd give it a 5 out of 10.
Still had a super duper good time though...
